The International Union of Food Science and Technology Inc. is the global scientific organization for food science and technology supporting programmes, projects and education to increase the safety and security of the world's food supply. IUFoST is a not-for-profit country member organization involving over 70 countries, each represented by a national food science organization, bringing together more than 200,000 food scientists and technologists worldwide.
IUFoST has four regional groupings: EFFoST (Europe), ALACCTA (Latin American and the Caribbean), FIFSTA (South East Asia) and WAAFoST (West Africa). IUFoST's Special interest and Disciplinary Groupings include the International Society of Food Engineering (ISFE), International Symposium on the Properties of Water (ISOPOW), International Society for Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods (ISNFF), The International Food Research Collaboration (IFRC) and International Society of Food Applications of Nanoscale Sciences (ISFANS). < |
